Away to the East

The ‘travelling community’ in Ireland often attracts a lot of negative attention.  One thing is sure though, many of our city-scapes would be blander and lacking in colour at Christmas time if it wasn’t for their decorative efforts.  ‘Away to the East’ is a short poem about the efforts many travellers put into getting their homes decorated for Christmas.
